SOUNDWAVES IN MEDITATION.
Sound meditation is the easiest and simplest way to meditate. Chanting mantras or applying various sound waves affects our vibration. It elevates and awakens our consciousness, and brings massive inspiration.
In the creational stories of different mythologies, including Hinduism, it is said the universe was projected by a sound. In the beginning, there was the word or the sound so to speak. This is what Hinduism calls the AUM, or the primal sound, the unstruck sound, from which creation is manifested.
For this very reason, AUM has been used as a simple method of sound meditation or mantra meditation. By chanting AUM, and simultaneously concentrating on the mantra itself, or on the Ajna chakra, it will almost instantly connect you with the inner self.
This is the easiest and simplest way to meditate. Chanting mantras or applying various sound waves affects our vibration. It elevates and awakens our consciousness, and brings massive inspiration. In one of the seven cosmic laws, we have the law of vibration. Sound is vibration. In the chakras and the subtle nerves or nadis, we have a vibration. Each chakra has its own sound or vibration, and its own mantra.
Energy or Prana flows in all of us. Everything is embedded with energy. In fact, all matter or form is energy at a different frequency level. A vibrating sound affects our energy and frequency.
Our energy vibrates at different frequency levels depending on our state of mind or consciousness. Therefore, It can raise our consciousness and shape our energy in multiple ways. Hence, with music or sound waves, it is possible to impact our feelings, emotions, and mood, depending on what type of sound or music is used.
When listening to classical music, it produces a specific vibration. Of course, Classical music can produce different sounds or vibration categories and effects.
One of my favorite pieces of work is the suite nr. 3 by Johannes Sebastian Bach. When listening, it has a very subtle effect on your vibration, and it has the ability to elevate your awareness or consciousness.
Many musical pieces, classical or not, have this effect. One of them is the Morning Mood by Edward Grieg. A very elevating and comforting sound wave, which brings the morning right into your spirit
The very opposite to this positive vibration can be when someone yells at you in an angry tone, your vibration gets all scattered, and most likely, you will lose your focus and make some mistakes. Very often, it can lead to accidents, like breaking glass.
As a guitarist and a musician, I have always used sound waves for mood changes and healing. In all my meditations, sound waves have played a significant role as it infuses inspiration and gives the meditation an extra uplif16ting power.
It does not matter which type of meditation method you apply, a good sound wave is always very enhancing. However, I have come across an interesting sound meditation method by Deepak Chopra.
